ABOUT
There is no love sincere than the love of food. -George Bernard Shaw
"The Beijing Foodie Guide" is a multimedia project I completed for my master study at the University of Florida. It is the love of food that motivates me to do this project. It is the love of my homeland that carries me through.
In interviews with the native Beijingers residing in the U.S., those food featured in this project are more than just food to them. It embedded with childhood memory, unforgettable moments with family and friends, and most importantly, a sense of belonging.
Through this project, I hope readers will know more about Beijing local and traditional dishes, and create your own memory with those foods when you are in Beijing, just as the U.S. interviewees did.
